For this week's homework, you will begin your author studies. Rohan, your author is Beverly Cleary, Rachel, yours is EB White, and Caitlyn, yours is Roald Dahl. 

By Sunday, I'd like for you to have chosen a book by your author to read, and to bring it to class. I'd like for you to read the first three chapters of the book, and give me a brief summary of each chapter, so I can make sure you are keeping up with it.

Also, please begin researching the life of your author. For this week, please gather the answers to the following three questions:

Where and in what year was your author born?

When did your author begin writing?

What was the first piece of writing your author published?
