Hi Class,

Since all of you you seem to have had some difficulty getting a hold of the book, I'm going to provide you with another week to read chapters 1-5 in the Wolves of Willoughby Chase. It's a wonderful and exciting mystery/thriller, so you all should really enjoy it!

-Please put forth the utmost effort to be caught up in the reading (through chapter five) for next week, and bring your book and a notebook to class, as always.

-In addition please answer the following in complete sentences:

What does Bonnie's name mean?

What do you think the significance of the names "Grimshaw" and "Slighcarp" is? Why did the author choose these names? How do they sound to you?

What is the time period? What would you say the mood is in the book? For each chapter, name at least four details that help to establish time period and mood.

Who is Simon? Why do you think he is important to the story?

Compare and contrast Sylvia and Bonnie, listing at least four character traits for each of them. What things do they have in common? What about each of them is very different from the other?
