Hi Class,

We had such a wonderful class on Sunday! You guys all have such unique talents, you really can learn so much from one another, not just from me!

For homework this week, please complete the following:

-Write a page long alternate ending for "My Side of the Mountain" Please start the story with two or three sentences from just before the ending of the book, and then continue from there. If you didn't like the ending, here's your chance to completely change it! If you did, you can alter it in a more subtle way, it's up to you. My only request is that you stick to the parameters of the book in terms of how realistic your ending is. That means, no aliens, no nuclear weapons, etc.

-Also, please write two more paragraphs of your personal narrative. These are the paragraphs where you will really begin to build up to the main conflict in your story, so think about how you want to approach this before you begin.
