For homework this week:

-Please read the first four chapters of "Charlotte's Web."

-As you read, write down any words that are unfamiliar to you, and try to figure out their meanings by context, like we did in class with "Amos and Boris." That is, look at the sentence containing the unfamiliar word and see if you can tell what it means from how it is being used. Don't look the words up in the dictionary. Instead, write down your guesses and we'll talk about them in class. Words are very important in this book, as you will soon see!

-Please predict in at least 20 sentences, what will happen next. No peeking!
