Hi Class,
-Please read up to page 131 in My Side of the Mountain. Be advised that next week, we will begin class in the same fashion as this week, with a series of questions about the reading, the answers of which you are meant to write down. I'd like to see evidence of much more careful reading than was displayed yesterday, so let's really pay attention and finish the assignment for the week.
-In addition to the reading, please come up with an invention that would help you survive in the wilderness, much like Sam Gribley has had to do. Draw a detailed prototype of your invention.
-Write down answers to the following:
What is the name of your invention?
What does it do? How does it work?
How did you make it?
How did you come to discover you'd need it?
How did you test it out?
-Sam records his discoveries in a journal. Please TYPE (no hand written notes for this) a page long, journal-style fictional account of the first time you used your invention.
