Please read pages 51 through 101 in "My Side of the Mountain." Think about structure as you read. Go back and recall how the story began. Did it begin when Sam first ran away, or did it start with a retrospective (looking back) point of view? Why do you think this is the case? How do you plan to begin your personal narrative? Would it serve the narrative to be written retrospectively? At what point will the central event enter into the narrative? All these choices determine how effective your story telling will be!
