Please read the first fifty pages of My Side of the Mountain. Make sure that what you are doing is "close reading," meaning you are able to easily tell someone else what has happened by the end of each chapter. In addition, please continue to consider the subjects you are brainstorming for your personal narrative. Write down answers to the following: What feelings do you associate with the central event you've chosen? What other small occurrences coincide with the central event in your story? What exactly do you want your reader to learn about you through the piece? How has the central event changed you?
